Oh Friend of Mine

When you are Happy, oh Friend of Mine,
and all your skies are blue.
Tell me your Luck, your Fortune fine,
and let me Rejoice with you.

Tell me the Hopes that spur you on,
the Deeds you mean to do,
the Gold you’ve struck, the Fame you’ve won,
and let me Celebrate with you.

And when you Love, oh Friend of Mine,
and have found Life anew.
Tell me the Love that is so Kind,
and let me Sing with you.

But when you are Sad and Heart is cold,
and all your skies turn dark.
Tell me the pain that mocks your hold,
and let me Soothe your Heart.

Am I not your friend through well and woe?
How else can Friends prove true?
Tell me the things that bring you low,
and I shall Stand with you.

For when night comes and day is gone,
and the last flight of Peace begins.
Let us Renew our Faith as one,
for our Friendship shall never end.

When we grow old and time has past
and the autumn of our Lives begin.
Just look with your dear old eyes in mine,
and give me your Friendship true.

For whatever Fate . . .
Our Souls await . . .
I Shall Always be Friends with You!
